Mumble Discipline
We use Mumble and accept it as the coalition's only voice system.
For setup instructions, see the Mumble guide.
Basic requirements
- When you are in the game, you must be in a Mumble channel. You may use the AFK fully-muted channel or your corporation's channel.
- Super ratting and Rorqual mining require you to be able to speak in voice. When calling for help, you must be in the correct region's watch channel and describe the situation clearly and accurately.
- Regional standing channels should generally be reserved for emergency help, so don't discuss off-topic things there. Organized HD fleets should use the HD channel, the main strategic fleet channel, or a temporary channel.
- Don't interrupt the FC while they are speaking, except in an emergency.
- Corporation management who encourage or lead the use of other voice software will receive severe warnings and penalties.
- A standing FC may mute and kick members who disrupt channel order. All actions are logged, and an FC who abuses this power will lose their FC role if a complaint is upheld.
- Cross-corporation fleets should use the alliance fleet channel or the coalition-wide fleet channel. Channel space is open to all members, first come, first served at the same rank. If the reserved channels are fully occupied, you may manually create a temporary fleet channel.
- Corporation channels are private to each corporation, so members should not enter unrelated corporation channels. When interviewing a new member, corporation management may manually drag them from the lobby into the corporation channel.
- SIG channels are private to the group, so non-members generally may not enter.
- Don't occupy the lobby for long periods. If you need to, create a temporary channel under the lobby or the Other Games channel.
- Creating new permanent channels under regional standing channels is not supported in principle. All members may create temporary channels under regional standing channels.
Management requirements
- Creating new permanent channels under regional standing channels is discouraged in principle. A proper reason is required to create one.
- Modifying the names of base channels (including fleet channels) is not allowed.
- Large-scale ACL changes must be reported and go through a necessity review.
