====== Fleet Participation ====== === Preparing for Fleets === * If you want to fly a capital ship in fleets, you must be in the correct Capital group. See the WinCo discord "how-to-join-capital-groups" for instructions about how to do this. * To learn about Winter Coalition doctrines, check this ingame channel: FRT-Doctrines * This will show you the fits for each ship and each doctrine. * Be sure to include any implant requirements (this will be listed as "capsule") * Near the top of the channel you will see a link for skill plans. This is very useful to help you efficiently train what you need. * Try to have at least one ship you can fly in your hanger for each doctrine. For frequently used doctrines, more then one ship is better. * Set up push to talk keys for fleets in Mumble (required for fleets): http://i.imgur.com/KRcwhlc.gif This will allow you to talk in your current channel only. (Shows yellow icon). To talk to FC channel in a fleet use the Push-to-Talk shortcut key (shows blue icon) * Watch the WC & Friends discord channel for pings, which will provide information about fleets you can join. * Your participation in the fleet will be recorded automatically. * Check with your CEO for details about the fleet requirements for your corp. === When You are in A Fleet === Key things to remember when you are in a fleet: * Check your ship before undocking (insured, escape bay, ammo, rigs in, etc) and implants. * Reduce distractions in your environment when you are in a fleet. Listen carefully for FC commands such as "align", "anchor", "jump", and "lock target" * Check the MOTD when you join the fleet before you ask questions. * Do not interrupt the FC * Anchor up quickly and stay that way -- do not drift away from the fleet. Be sure your prop mod is on when you are told. * Have shortcut key set for broadcasting for reps and use it. Broadcast early. * If you broadcast targets without authorization during the fleet, you may be removed from the fleet. * Don't fly expensive ships unless you are experienced in fleets === Salvaging and Looting === * Do not loot a grid until given permission by FC. In the case of structures, violating this rule can have significant diplomatic consequences for both yourself and your alliance. * If the fleet is moving intending to still fight, do not loot. * Do not loot on out-of-fleet alts during a fight. * Do not loot blue wrecks until the rest of the grid is clear, to give people a chance to return and loot their wrecks. If someone requests their loot back, provide it to them. * DO NOT loot grids when you were not involved in the fight. * If you are caught looting the grid and the fight is ongoing, FCs may primary the offender. This action is not something that a diplo will take a complaint for. * Punishments may start with requirements to return the salvage, docking or ACL bans, repeated offenses could result in you being banned from WC. === NPSI Fleets === Use non-coalition alts, if possible; otherwise, don’t shoot blues and inform the relevant FC at the time why you can’t participate. === Faction Warfare === This section moved to a separate menu in the PVE section
